What does “Herien” mean?

Herien draws from the language of transformation — echoing heritage, renewal, and timeless motion of matter. The brand was founded on the belief that jewelry is a living form of design — evolving, enduring, and emotionally resonant.

What makes Herien different from other jewelry brands?

Herien stands at the intersection of design and material research. Each piece embodies the tension between permanence and change — handcrafted from recycled precious metals with sculptural precision and quiet emotion.

What does “made to order” mean for sustainability?

Every piece is produced only when ordered, avoiding overproduction and minimizing waste. This process allows us to focus on craftsmanship, precision, and personalization while staying aligned with responsible production values.

What’s the difference between 9k, 14k, and 18k gold?

Herien pieces are crafted in solid gold. We offer 9k as our standard alloy — refined, sculptural, and ideal for everyday wear. For those who desire heritage purity, every design is also available in 18k gold upon request. Certain rings with diamond settings are made in 14k gold, chosen for its balance of strength and beauty to ensure secure setone placement.

Do you use gold plating or vermeil?

No. Every Herien piece is crafted in solid gold or sterling silver.

Do you rhodium-plate your silver?

Yes. Our silver pieces are made in solid sterling silver and finished in-house with rhodium — a rare precious metal from the platinum family. This process prolongs the shine and durability of silver, keeping each piece luminous and resistant to tarnish.

Do you offer sterling silver?

Yes. Many designs are also available in sterling silver — luminous, sculptural, and contemporary. Silver offers an entry point into the Herien universe while carrying the same design DNA as our gold pieces.

Why do some pieces cost more in 18k gold?

18k gold contains twice as much pure gold as 9k, giving it a deeper hue and heirloom-level value. The choice between 9k and 18k allows you to select the balance that suits your lifestyle — both are handcrafted with the same savoir-faire.

Can I transform my heirlooms into Herien pieces?

Yes. If you would like to give new life to your heirlooms, we can transform your existing gold or silver into something entirely new. We work primarily with recycled precious metals — their origin does not affect durability, pureity, or beauty. Each piece is melted down, reimagined, and handcrafted with the same savoir-faire as our other creations.

Where do your diamonds and stones come from?

We work only with ethically sourced stones. Our diamonds meet international standards for conflict-free certification. Selected pieces may also feature antique or repurposed stones to extend the life of existing materials — these will always be clearly stated in the product description.

Where is your jewelry made?

All Herien pieces are handcrafted in a second-generation Polish goldsmith studio. Each creation is produced in small runs, with attention to detail and material integrity at every stage.

How should I care for my jewelry?

Store pieces separately in their box or pouch to avoid scratches. Remove jewelry before swimming or heavy exercise. Over time, natural patina may appear — we see this as part of the material’s story. Professional polishing or cleaning can restore brilliance if desired.

Do you accept bespoke or custom orders?

Yes. Selected designs can be tailored in scale, alloy, or stone choice. We also welcome collaborations on unique commissions. Please contact us directly to discuss your vision.

How long will my order take?

Each piece is handcrafted to order. Please allow 3–4 weeks for production, plus shipping time. If you need a piece by a specific date, contact us — we will always do our best to accommodate.

Do you accept returns?

As each piece is made to order, we are unable to accept returns or exchanges unless the item is faulty. Please contact us within 14 days of receiving your jewelry if you have any concerns.

Is your gold and silver recycled?

Yes. We work primarily with recycled gold and silver. The recycling process does not affect durability, purity, or beauty — every piece is as enduring as newly mined metal, but with reduced environmental impact.

Do your pieces come with certificates?

Yes. Each piece comes with a certificate of authenticity and a material passport, documenting the alloy and stones used. Diamonds are accompanied by certification from a recognized gemological institute.

How do I know my ring size?

We recommend visiting a jeweler to measure your finger, or using our ring size guide available online. If you are unsure, our team will be happy to advise before placing an order.

Do you offer repairs?

Yes. Jewelry is made to last, but if your piece requires repair or adjustment, we provide in-house aftercare services to restore it. Please contact us for details.
